Lindsay Lohan Suing Rockstar?

Lindsay Lohan has apparently talked to her lawyers about taking on Rockstar, claiming that the recent game, GTAV has used her image without her permission.

TMZ's sources learned that her lawyers are already crafting a lawsuit against the video game company. The case is supposedly a three part lawsuit.

  • An In-Game mission where the player escorts Lacey Jones to safety, away from the paparazzi. Lindsay thinks that Lacey Jones is Rockstar's way of poking fun with her previous run-ins with the media.
  • A Side-Mission where the player photographs an actress having sex on the what appears to be a fictionalised version of the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood; a hotel in which Lohan lived for a time and still regularly frequents.
  • And finally, The Game's poster with a woman holding an iFruit phone.
Earlier this year there has been some debate as to who resembles the female in the poster more, Kate Upton or Shelby Welinder, but the latter posted a paycheck from rockstar November of last year to prove that she has been hired by Rockstar to do some modeling.

No word yet whether GTAV Execs will pay Lindsay Lohan or not.

GTA: San Andreas Heading to Mobile Devices Next Month

Before GTAV took us to the sun-bleached sidewalks and humming concrete freeways of present-day Los Santos and beyond, there was Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the biggest GTA of the PS2 era. Now, head back to the early 90s with CJ and the Grove Street Families when Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas comes to mobile devices next month.

Encompassing Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas and everything in between, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has been upgraded for its mobile release. Newly remastered graphics including dynamic and detailed shadows, greater draw distance, an enriched color palette, plus enhanced character and car models make this the best-looking version of San Andreas yet.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas also features brand new touch controls including contextual control options to display buttons only when you need them and three different control schemes for driving and maneuvering, as well as a reworked checkpoint system for easier progression. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for mobile also comes equipped with full controller support, including Made for iOS controller capability on iOS7. It will be available for select iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle and Windows Mobile devices

Activision Calls out to Rockstar Games

With all the Records currently held by Rockstar's latest hit, GTA V, Activision thinks that Rockstar is getting too comfortable.

In a recent interview, Activision UK Senior Brand Member Kevin Flynn said that the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts will be a wake up call for other companies that think they dominate the market.

"Congratulations to the team at Rockstar for their success," he said, before adding, "We look forward to getting the record back before the next GTA title."

COD: Ghosts is set for a November 5 release on PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions available at the consoles launch.

$500,000 In-Game money for GTA Online players

As compensation for the "hiccups" that GTA Online has been having since its launch earlier this month, Rockstar has announced that players will receive two payments of $250,000 each, with the first payment arriving as early as next week.

"In order to keep the current worldwide in-game economy balanced," says Rockstar, "we will be providing this GTA $ to players via two deposits of $250,000. We will announce specific dates as soon as possible, but are currently hoping to be able to make the first deposit by the end of next week (after we’ve confirmed that issues causing game progress loss have been fixed) with the second installment to happen by the end of the month."

"For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet."

Update 1.04 is said to be released next week, which will provide the players the cash, and clear up vanishing vehicles as well.

What do you guys think? is $500,000 In-game enough to compensate for the loss of Characters, Vehicles and Progress in GTA Online? Hit us up on the comments below.

[PC - NEWS] GTA V Heading to PC Q1 of 2014

Eurogamer has reported that Rockstar Games will be releasing the PC Version of their latest Record Smashing Game, GTA V.

Citing multiple sources, even recently backed by Chris R. Silva, Intel's Director of Marketing's Statement.
"At least with Grand Theft Auto, I don't think it'll be console-exclusive very long. But that's what happens when you have a brand new launch with two companies that have lots of money trying to make sure they have content."
If the release window with GTA IV for PC were to be followed, with Rockstar releasing the game April of 2008, then bringing it over to PC December of the same year, then seeing GTA V on PC early 2014 will come as no surprise.

Silva added that "[PC] gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Assassin's Creed 4,"

"The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release," Rockstar said at the time. "We don't have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now."

Nearly 600,000 people have signed a Change.org petition calling on Rockstar to release GTA5 on PC. They will get their wish.
