We all thought that Activision had a wounded pride when they stated that they'd outsell GTA V's $1 billion in one day rather than the latter title's three. Especially since the release of Black Ops 2 took a little under a month to reach that point.
No one thought they were going to do it, but they did.
The game is currently ranked #1 on Xbox live and was the most pre-ordered from GameStop. Not to mention that it is also the most pre-ordered for the release of the Xbox One.
Their success on this title can only rise from this point, and is suspected by the company to be the most successful launch title "by a large margin".
