Splinter Cell Author Dies at 66

If you're a fan of Military Thrillers, chances are you've heard of Tom Clancy. Born in Baltimore on April 12, 1947, Tom Clancy entered Loyola College for a Physics major, but transferred to English during his Sophomore year, saying that he wasn't smart enough for Science.

Ironically, his best sellers are futuristic and scientific.

Gamers will probably best know him for creating Sam Fisher, the Protagonist from the Splinter Cell series, the Novels based on the Games of the same name.

Penguin Group (USA) said Wednesday that Clancy died Tuesday in Baltimore. The publisher did not disclose a cause of death.

Rest easy, Sir, Gamers everywhere will take care of the terrorists.
A 21 Gun Salute.
